Andrea and Lorena D’Anca lead AD’ Design Studio, an Italian practice for luxury interior architecture and design worldwide. We bring creative direction, materials and technical understanding to the way a place is lived, assembling and leading multidisciplinary design teams with the scale and expertise each commission requires.
A personal idea of luxury.
Beauty is part of the pleasure of living somewhere. The colour of a room in the evening, the weight of a stone table, an object that recalls a journey: these can make a place feel unmistakably yours. Luxury may be exuberant, intimate or quietly composed. Its character grows from the person, the setting and the life imagined there.
AD’ begins with that picture of life. What draws you into a room? How do you like to welcome people, spend time alone or celebrate? Your answers shape the interior architecture and its atmosphere, from the view on arrival to the rooms that remain private. A favourite piece, a collection or a family ritual can become the starting point for the design.
Light, sound, texture and comfort develop together. So do the practical details that let you enjoy them: a reading light within reach, space for conversation around a table, discreet access for the people looking after the house. Italian materials and craftsmanship bring these decisions into objects and surfaces that can be seen, touched and lived with.
We are an Italian studio, designing in Italy for clients around the world. We grew up within a culture of design and craftsmanship, and remain close to the people who give it form.
Our regular presence at Salone del Mobile and our relationships with Italian manufacturers and workshops inform the design from the first decisions. Knowing the materials, finishes and possibilities for bespoke work helps us develop something particular to your interior, such as the Portoro basin designed for Sikder Haus.
Our work spans private residences, hospitality and executive interiors across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We meet with you at your property, on site or remotely, with visits and design reviews agreed around your project.
Through our furnishing and procurement service, we also select and purchase on your behalf at source in Italy, bringing furniture, lighting, stone and bespoke work into the project.

Andrea D’Anca
Andrea is an architect, licensed engineer and luxury interiors specialist with more than 12 years of international experience across hospitality, private residences and executive environments. His work includes the Hotel Eden Spa redesign in Rome, Dorchester Collection, and integrated design appointments in Asia, bringing together interior architecture, bespoke development and technical coordination.
His understanding of luxury has developed through working with private clients, hospitality teams and specialist makers: from privacy, comfort and the experience of a space to the quality of its materials, craftsmanship and bespoke pieces. He combines this perspective with direct knowledge of Italian furniture, stone and manufacturing. At AD’, he leads design development, technical review and the coordination of Italian sourcing with the wider project.
Lorena is an interior designer and Creative Director at AD’ Design Studio. Her work across residential and hospitality projects in Italy, Asia and the Middle East brings together concept development, interior styling, detailed design and furniture selection. Her experience includes the Hotel Eden Spa in Rome, private residences in Italy and Cambodia, and hospitality design studies.
She develops the relationships between colour, proportion, materials and light, then works with clients, collaborators and suppliers to carry those decisions into the interior. Alongside project work, she contributes to design research, team coordination and the studio’s relationships with brands and makers.
The team grows with the commission, under Andrea and Lorena’s leadership. We bring together interior architects, designers and technical specialists alongside project management, coordinating their work with the appointed local team. From a focused furnishing package to a complex interior, the brief determines the people, skills and coordination required.
Arnaldo brings more than 25 years of international experience in hospitality, operations, business development and strategic projects across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. His career has involved leading multicultural teams, developing businesses and coordinating complex initiatives in demanding operational settings.
He brings an owner’s perspective to the project team. His contribution to AD’ centres on governance, owner representation and project management, connecting design decisions with operational priorities and the people responsible for delivery.
Andrea and Lorena founded AD’ to bring their complementary approaches into one studio: architectural and engineering judgement alongside creative direction, materials and the experience of a room. Arnaldo’s international operations background adds a further perspective on how projects are organised and places are run. Together, these experiences inform how we work with each client, from the first design decisions to the specialists, suppliers and practical details needed to carry them through.
