Guests & atmosphere
The people you want to attract, the character of your property and the way you welcome them give the design its direction. Layout, light, materials and furnishings turn that brief into an atmosphere.
AD’ / Hospitality
Understanding your guests shapes the design from the beginning. Our experience with private clients and luxury hospitality informs how we approach privacy, personal attention and the pleasure of spending time in a place.
We help owners and operators give that experience a distinct identity: an inviting arrival, the right setting for conversation and privacy where it matters. Layouts, materials, lighting and bespoke details develop together with the operational brief, so the atmosphere you want to offer is considered alongside the way your team delivers it.

The brief
The people you want to attract, the character of your property and the way you welcome them give the design its direction. Layout, light, materials and furnishings turn that brief into an atmosphere.
The brief needs both perspectives. We discuss seating, privacy, circulation, cleaning and maintenance with the client and operator, then coordinate relevant requirements with the appointed specialists.
Carry the character of the design into the finished rooms. We develop bespoke details and review samples and supplier proposals with the team, resolving the interfaces included in our scope before those elements are made.
Hotels & refurbishment
For a new hotel or an existing property, the brief brings together the guests you want to welcome and the team who will look after them. AD’ can lead the interior design or join an appointed team for design direction and a defined technical review. We agree the rooms, design stages and responsibilities before work begins.
For a hotel refurbishment, existing plans, surveys, access and the intended works programme help establish where to start. These decisions develop with the owner, operator and appointed team.
At Delta Marriott in Dhaka, AD’ acted as Owner’s Representative & Design Consultant: coordination with Archetype and review of the hotel plans against the operator’s requirements, including guest circulation, service flows and life-safety considerations.

At Hotel Eden in Rome, we led the Spa redesign from concept through handover. Stone, glass and lighting were developed together, including the illuminated display joinery. KOI Restaurant in Bangkok starts from another kind of hospitality: arrival, the bar, conversation and the atmosphere of dining after dark. Each brief asks different questions of the interior.

Working together
We work with owners, operators and their appointed architects, engineers and delivery teams. At the outset, we establish the guest experience, operational requirements, existing conditions and next decision milestones. For a refurbishment, access, surveys, approvals and the proposed works programme form part of that conversation. Site visits and reviews are planned around the appointment.
Discuss the appointmentBefore we begin
Our hospitality work includes hotel spas, restaurants, bars, lounges and banquet spaces. The brief and operating model determine the design scope; a focused refurbishment and a complete interior need different appointments.
Yes. Existing plans, photographs, operational requirements and the intended programme help us identify which surveys, design decisions and specialist input are needed before the works.
Send the location, current plans, restaurant concept, intended seating capacity and target opening or refurbishment date. Explain how guests and staff should move between arrival, dining, the bar and service areas, and who is developing the kitchen and building services. Existing constraints and specialist requirements help us define the interior design scope and the team needed.
Design Direction can guide ongoing design decisions; Technical & Project Review can examine a defined package of drawings, specifications or supplier proposals. Furnishing & Procurement can also be appointed separately.
