Furnishing & Procurement

Your purchasing agent in Italy.

Buy Italian design furniture through a studio working for you. AD’ acts as your purchasing agent in Italy. We negotiate with suppliers and purchase at source on your behalf, following your priorities and budget. The available trade terms and the fee for AD’s work are shown together.

You can begin with one piece, one brand or your designer’s furnishing selection. A retailer’s quotation can be the starting point. AD’s architects and engineers check dimensions, configurations and technical details with the suppliers and your project team before you approve the order. AD’ does not upsell.

A defined purchasing appointment

Purchase from your selection or quotation

You have a selection or a retailer’s quotation and want the pieces to belong to the interior you envisaged. Commission AD’ for an agreed purchase, with the product information and costs clear before you approve an order. If you still need to choose the furnishings, we can first develop the brief with you or your designer.

What you receive

A purchasing proposal for identified models, configurations, quantities and finishes; a record of the agreed technical checks and approvals; and the purchasing and production coordination included in your appointment.

Scope & responsibilities

The appointment covers the agreed purchasing package. Full interior design, complex bespoke development, transport and installation are included only where the proposal specifies them, with the responsible parties identified.

Working together

  1. Your selection & purchasing brief

Share the selection or quotation, models and quantities, the destination and your intended installation date. Plans, dimensions, finishes and items still to resolve help us define the checks and purchasing work you need.

  2. Proposal & approval

Available trade terms and AD’s fee are shown together. Quoted product prices and confirmed additional costs are distinguished from estimates, with shipping, customs, insurance and installation identified where applicable. We agree the purchasing arrangements before orders are placed.

  3. Purchase & agreed coordination

We purchase the approved pieces on your behalf and coordinate the supplier information and production reviews included in your appointment. The proposal sets the purchasing stages and review dates around your destination, intended programme and supplier information. Supplier lead times are identified as confirmed or estimated; delivery and installation arrangements are agreed before ordering.

Italian marble & bespoke stone

Choose the stone.
Resolve the piece.

We source Italian marble for interiors and bespoke pieces. The material selection develops alongside dimensions, slab layout, finishes, edges and connections to joinery, lighting or fittings. Samples and fabrication information are reviewed with the appointed makers and project team.

Materials & making

From the workshop to the room.

For Sikder Haus, AD’ Design Studio commissioned a basin carved from solid Portoro marble. The finished piece, paired with Fantini taps, belongs to the dining room.

Stone & craftsmanship

Working with the stone and its makers.

The character of the full slabs and the way a piece is fabricated both matter. Selection and workshop conversations connect the material with the intended design.

Stone, light and bespoke pieces.

At Sikder Haus, furnishing extended from illuminated stone and glass lighting to individually developed furniture. The installed chess table and its signature detail show the bespoke piece at two scales.

For a piece being made to order, see what to resolve before production. If you already have drawings or samples, Technical & Project Review can examine the details and develop the agreed corrections with your makers and project team.

Before we begin

A few useful
answers.

Buying the Italian furniture you have chosen
How do we begin a furnishing package?

Share the rooms or selections, destination and intended timing. We discuss the design information and support you need, then prepare a proposal defining the package, responsibilities and fees. Purchases follow your approval of the selections, quotations and ordering arrangements.

Do we need a full interior design appointment?

No. Furnishing & Procurement can be commissioned for a defined purchase, one brand or a complete interior, working with your existing designers where appropriate. A list of chosen pieces or a retailer’s quotation can be the starting point.

Can we appoint AD’ as our purchasing agent in Italy?

Yes. Start with one piece, a selection or a retailer’s quotation; we can also develop the furnishing brief with you or your designer. AD’ negotiates with Italian suppliers and purchases on your behalf. Available trade terms and AD’s fee are shown together. Quoted prices and confirmed additional costs are distinguished from estimates. We agree the approved selection, purchasing arrangements and responsibilities before ordering.

When should we begin furnishing a home abroad?

Ideally, while layouts and the building programme are still being developed. Fitted furniture and bespoke pieces can affect lighting, power points and finished dimensions. We review these decisions with your designers, specialists and makers before orders are confirmed. If work is already underway, we can begin with the plans and selections you have.

Do you source Italian marble as well as furniture?

Yes. We source Italian marble alongside furniture, lighting and bespoke pieces, coordinating material selection, finishes and fabrication requirements with your project team. We also work with international products and materials where they suit the brief.

How do we approve materials from another country?

We receive and check material and finish samples from suppliers, then send them to you for approval. We discuss the options with you and record your approved selections in the furnishing schedule.

Who contracts with suppliers and places the orders?

AD’ purchases on your behalf. Before ordering, we agree the approved selections, quotations, payment arrangements and supplier contracts, together with responsibility for shipping, customs, insurance and installation.
