If you are looking for an Italian furniture store, you may already know what you want: a particular sofa, a dining table or a selection from one brand. Before placing the order, consider buying those same pieces through AD’.

AD’ works for you: the studio negotiates with suppliers on your behalf and purchases the pieces you choose at source in Italy. Your priorities and budget guide the purchase. The available trade terms and the fee for AD’s work are shown together.

Its Furnishing & Procurement service combines those buying terms with a design team that checks the details and works with the suppliers. You can buy one piece through the studio without commissioning a full interior design project.

Price the purchase as a whole

AD’ explains the furniture price and studio fee together, so you can judge the total cost of buying your selection through the studio. Trade discounts vary with the manufacturer and the order.

A retailer’s quotation gives AD’ a concrete selection to price. The model, size, configuration and finish need to match: a change in upholstery grade can alter a sofa’s price. Collection in Italy covers something different from delivery and assembly in your home.

Transport and any other charges for your destination belong in the comparison. Retailers can offer discounts and design support, too; the useful figure is the complete offer for the same purchase, including the work AD’ will do for you.

Keep the selection, check the details

AD’ does not upsell. The studio can work from pieces you have chosen yourself or a selection prepared by your interior designer. If you need help completing a room, that can develop around what you already want.

AD’s architects and engineers review dimensions, configurations and technical details against the information for your property. A sofa needs space around it as well as a place on the plan. A pendant must work with the ceiling and electrical connection. Questions can be raised with the manufacturer or your project team before the order is confirmed.

If a change is needed, the reason is explained and you decide.

Approve the material in your own light

A fabric that looked warm in a showroom may look different beside your stone floor. Texture matters, too, especially on a chair where you will spend an evening.

AD’ receives and reviews supplier samples in Italy, then sends them to you for approval. You can see the proposed finish alongside what is already in the room and feel the material before confirming the choice.

Plan how the pieces will arrive

A large dining table needs a route through the building. Delivery timing matters if the home is still being finished. These practical questions deserve attention while the purchase is being planned.

With AD’, those questions can be discussed with the suppliers and your project team before the furniture leaves Italy. The delivery arrangements need to make clear who is transporting and installing the pieces.

The experience behind the details

A basin for the dining setting

At Sikder Haus in Dhaka, AD’ Design Studio designed and commissioned a handwashing basin for the dining area. Carved from solid Portoro and paired with Fantini fittings, its proportions and the position of the fittings were developed with the maker. The Portoro basin story follows the piece from the workshop to the dining setting.

Glass and light at Hotel Eden Spa

For the complete redesign of Hotel Eden Spa in Rome, AD’ developed a bespoke display in ultra-clear glass. The effect of light travelling through its worked edge was tested with the makers in the workshop, before installation in the Spa.

Start with the pieces you want

Tell AD’ which pieces you want, where they will go and your preferred timing. If you already have a retailer’s quotation, it can be sent by email. The studio can then explain the purchasing terms and fee for your selection.
