Compose the interior first.
Italy offers an unusually rich choice of furniture makers, from companies with an extensive design archive to specialists in material experimentation, fitted systems and game tables. The useful question is which collection, finish and configuration belongs in a particular room.
At AD’ Design Studio, furniture is developed alongside the architecture. A dining table affects how people gather. A sofa establishes views and conversation. Storage shapes the room even when its contents are concealed. Lighting, circulation and the smaller pieces must be considered together.
The ten brands below offer different possibilities. They are a starting point for a project-specific selection, informed by the space, the client and the level of coordination the interior requires.

Upholstery & flexible living
A useful starting point when the seating arrangement is central to the room. Compare the dimensions, configuration and feel of individual collections against the way the space will be used. A generous sofa still needs a convincing relationship with circulation, side tables and lighting.

04 / From selection to specification
Resolve the details before ordering.
Scale and use
Place the actual dimensions on the plan. Check how chairs pull out, doors open and people pass through. Where possible, sit in the proposed upholstery and assess it against the client’s preferences.
Materials in context
Review finish samples beside the surrounding stone, timber, textiles and metal. Daylight and artificial light can change the apparent relationship between colours and sheen. Record the selected product, finish and configuration together.
Delivery and installation
Confirm the route into the building, access to the room, assembly requirements and the parties responsible for installation. Establish lead times, warranty terms and aftercare with the supplier for the exact order.
Where bespoke belongs
Some parts of an interior call for a piece developed specifically for the space. A fitted bar, a stone table or an integrated display wall may need dimensions, materials and detailing that grow directly from the architecture.
