Technical & Project Review

Resolve the detail before it becomes a commitment.

You want to approve a drawing, bespoke piece or specialist proposal with a clear understanding of how it will work in the room. The detail needs to carry the design’s character into fabrication and installation.

AD’ examines the information, develops the agreed corrections and coordinates them with your team. We review how the architecture, building services and bespoke details fit together before the next commitment.

Technical development within our projects

At the scale of the detail.

At Hotel Eden Spa in Rome, the workshop views document glass and integrated lighting being tested, and stone assemblies developed within the full Spa interior appointment.

For a detail that needs resolving.

A review can address one drawing package, a bespoke piece or the way specialist systems fit into the interior. You can appoint AD’ for this work on its own, as a focused route within Design Direction. We agree the information to examine and the solutions or revised documents to develop with your team.

A focused appointment before production

Review the package before you approve it

You are being asked to approve a kitchen, bathroom, bespoke element or another defined package for production. You want to understand what is resolved, what remains open and which decisions need your attention before committing.

Tell us what you need to approve

What you receive

  • Annotated drawings for the agreed package.

  • A prioritised record of open issues.

  • Questions for the responsible designer, engineer or maker.

  • A concluding discussion of what is resolved, what needs development and who should take each next step.

Working together

  1. The package & decision

Share the current drawings, specifications and supplier proposals for the package, the information available, the decision deadline and the people responsible for design and approval.

  2. Review & priorities

We examine the agreed drawings and specialist proposals, identify information and interfaces needing clarification, and discuss the priorities with you and the relevant specialists.

  3. Agreed corrections & next approval

Where agreed, AD’ develops the corrections or coordinates solutions with the responsible specialists, then brings revised details or specifications back for approval. This work is defined in the appointment or agreed as a further stage.

Review boundaries

The review addresses the agreed package, drawing versions, disciplines and interfaces. Statutory approvals, engineering certification and the responsibilities of appointed specialists remain with the relevant parties. We identify the specialist input needed and the information AD’ will develop.

Fee, included work & timing

The fee and programme are set in the proposal after we see the package and your decision deadline. The proposal specifies the drawings and clarification cycles included, with timing based on receipt of the required information. Further packages, additional cycles or development outside that scope are agreed separately.

What we bring
to your project.

Drawings & specifications

Compare the information across plans, details, schedules and specialist proposals to identify gaps, conflicts and points needing clarification.

Buildability & interfaces

Resolve how architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, bespoke work and installation access fit together, working directly with the relevant specialists.

Solutions & revised information

Develop the agreed corrections, review samples and shop drawings, and coordinate revised specialist proposals so the team has a consistent basis for the next approval.

Materials & making

Where drawings meet fabrication.

Review brings the drawing, the material and the making process into the same conversation. It helps the team identify what needs resolving before the next stage.

Before we begin

A few useful
answers.

Before releasing bespoke work for production
Can we commission a focused review?

Yes. The appointment can address a defined drawing package, bespoke element or coordination question. We agree the scope, available information and deliverable before starting.

Who resolves the issues you identify?

AD’ can develop the design correction or coordinate its resolution with the responsible engineer, supplier or contractor. We agree which packages we develop and which need specialist input, then review the revised information together.

Does the review replace specialist approval?

No. Statutory approvals, engineering certification and the responsibilities of appointed specialists remain with the relevant parties. We define the review boundaries before work begins.
