AD’ / Restaurant interior design

Restaurant interiors designed around service and atmosphere.

A dining room with its own character, a bar that belongs to it, and a layout developed around your restaurant.

Discuss your restaurant project

AD’ Design Studio designs restaurant interiors for owners and operators creating a new venue or renewing an existing one. Dining rooms, bars and furniture are developed as one interior, with materials and light giving the place its character.

AD’ works with your team to connect that atmosphere to the restaurant brief: how guests arrive, where they sit and how the team moves through the room. AD’ develops the layouts, details and specifications agreed for the next stage of your project.

A room shaped around your restaurant

The restaurant concept, guests and style of service give the design its starting point. AD’ develops the relationship between arrival, dining areas and the bar, considering table arrangements, booths and circulation with the operator. Existing conditions and the kitchen and service brief help define which layouts need to be developed.

Materials, lighting and the furniture you touch

The grain of timber, the edge of a counter and the light above a table all contribute to the room. AD’ develops finishes, furniture and bespoke details together, so the character carries from the larger composition into the pieces guests use. Samples and supplier information inform the selections before you approve them.

KOI Restaurant, Bangkok

KOI Restaurant in Bangkok demonstrates AD’ Design Studio’s restaurant interior design through the composition of its dining areas and bar.

Warm timber, a long counter and pendant lighting create depth in the main room. Booths and freestanding tables offer distinct seating settings. The private dining area has city views and a sculptural pendant; at the bar, an illuminated bottle display and red ceiling lighting establish a different character.

Coordination with the architect and kitchen designer

AD’ develops the interior with your appointed architects, engineers, kitchen specialists and makers. The relationship between the dining room, kitchen access and service areas is reviewed with the operator. Kitchen equipment and building-services requirements are coordinated with the relevant specialists within the agreed interior design scope.

Drawings and decisions for the next stage

The Interior Architecture & Design appointment can include layouts, elevations, interior and bespoke details, material selections, lighting and furniture specifications. The proposal defines the packages, review stages and responsibilities around your venue.

For a team with an existing design, Design Direction can be agreed around the decisions that still need a design lead.

If you need AD’ to purchase the approved furniture and lighting, Furnishing & Procurement can be appointed separately. The design brief establishes what is needed before that purchasing scope is agreed.

Questions about your restaurant project

Can you redesign part of an existing restaurant?

Yes. The brief can focus on agreed spaces such as the dining room, bar or an arrival area. Existing plans, photographs, access and the intended refurbishment programme help AD’ define the work with you and the operator.

Can AD’ work with the kitchen designer and architect?

Yes. AD’ develops the interior alongside your appointed team, with responsibilities for kitchen design, equipment and building services defined in the appointment. The relevant specialists provide their technical requirements for coordination with the interior.

What happens after the first enquiry?

AD’ reviews the venue, restaurant concept, available information and current project stage with you. If there is a fit, the studio prepares a proposal setting out the design work, deliverables, responsibilities and fees. The appointment begins once those terms are agreed.

Your next step

Discuss your restaurant project

Tell AD’ the city and country, the restaurant concept, whether this is a new opening or refurbishment, and the spaces to be designed. Share available plans, the project stage, your intended programme and the team already involved. The studio can then discuss the design scope with you.
