Interior design studios for Rome: homes, Spa and hospitality

Three practices read through their rooms and design roles: a Rome Spa appointment, an apartment renovation and hospitality interiors.

Choose a studio for your Rome project by considering the spaces you want to commission and the people already involved. A home redesign and a hospitality interior ask for different evidence. Look at each practice’s published work, then discuss who will develop the interior and how they will work with your team.

AD’ Design Studio publishes this editorial selection and is included below. The three profiles appear alphabetically.

What the selection considers

The selection brings together identifiable practices with a stated interior design offer and published work to explore. The references below show different types of commission. Use them to assess the studio’s contribution, then ask for a proposal for the spaces involved in your project.

AD’ Design Studio: complete interiors with your appointed team

AD’ is an Italian studio available for interior design commissions in Rome and internationally. At Hotel Eden Spa in Rome, AD’ shaped the spa’s reception and relaxation areas, the new wellness room and the manicure and pedicure room, from concept through handover. Interior design, technical review, Italian sourcing and site coordination formed part of that work.

At reception, illuminated stone creates a focal point. Light follows the worked edge of the bespoke ultra-clear glass display onto the adjacent wall, bringing glass fabrication, lighting and installation into one detail. Rounded seating and framed reflections give the relaxation area a quieter character before treatment.

For a residential reference, the private villa design in Phnom Penh, Cambodia brings together interior architecture, material design and bespoke furniture. Its dining room opens towards the main salon. The two commissions show different ways of connecting rooms, materials and the way a space is used.

The Interior Architecture & Design appointment develops the complete interior with your appointed architect and specialists. Discuss the rooms included, the design stages and who will lead each part of the work.

Punto Zero: architecture, interiors and custom furniture

Punto Zero’s stated services include residential and commercial renovations, interior design and furnishings. Punto Zero’s official website includes Casa Alkymia, a private apartment renovation in Monteverde, Rome.

The project brings the interior into dialogue with the Rationalist character of its 1930s building. A large opening between living room and kitchen improves the connection between the rooms and their access to light. Colour identifies different uses within the apartment. The case offers a residential reference in which the layout, the existing architecture and the interior’s character are developed together.

STUDIOTAMAT: architecture and interior design

STUDIOTAMAT’s practice and references include hospitality and dining projects in Rome alongside its residential work.

At Condominio Monti, two adjoining early twentieth-century buildings become a boutique hotel while retaining existing structural elements. Colour gives the bedrooms individual character, and perforated steel dividers organise dining settings on the mosaic terrace.

At Tre de Tutto in Garbatella, a central cruciform pillar organises the triangular ground floor around the bar. Worn walls sit with contemporary metalwork; a salmon-coloured passage leads to the restaurant below. These references show how an existing building’s particular shape and surfaces can become part of a venue’s identity.

Read the passage from arrival to a quieter room

An interior changes as you move through it. The first space may introduce the character of the property; the next may support conversation, a meal or a quieter moment. This is a useful way to read a reference before reducing it to a style.

At Hotel Eden Spa, the reception gives arrival a focal point through illuminated stone and a bespoke glass display. The relaxation area changes emphasis through rounded seating and framed reflections. AD’s work connects those settings with the new wellness room and manicure and pedicure room. The local reference demonstrates a defined Spa interior appointment, from concept through handover; it does not establish a whole-hotel or Rome residential commission.

For a home, read the same transition through different uses: the entrance, a shared living space and the place where you want privacy. A layout drawing can show the connection; images can explain the atmosphere; a detail can reveal how the material and light are developed. These forms of evidence answer different questions.

The three profiles offer a small selection across home and hospitality work. Read each reference within its actual type of commission, then use our guide to choosing an interior design studio in Italy to examine the proposed role. A comparable room and a clear contribution provide a firmer basis for discussion than the city name alone.

Discuss your Rome project

If you are considering AD’, share the property’s location, the rooms involved and the stage reached. Include your priorities and the team already appointed. These details help define the interior design work to discuss.
