The studio you choose for a Bangkok interior should understand the spaces you want to develop. A restaurant brings dining, arrival and service together. A workplace has another set of uses, while a private home needs rooms shaped around its occupants. Start with the brief and compare relevant work before agreeing the design role.

AD’ Design Studio publishes this editorial selection and is included below. Profiles appear alphabetically. The selection considers stated interior design services and identifiable project references.

AD’ Design Studio: connected settings for dining, work and private use

At KOI Restaurant in Bangkok, arrival, dining, conversation and the bar shape the restaurant’s setting. AD’ worked closely with the owner, guiding the interior design direction alongside the appointed design team. Warm timber, a long counter and pendant lighting give the room depth. Booths and freestanding tables provide different dining settings.

Sathorn Lounge & Office, also in Bangkok, is a different kind of commission: a loft combining work, entertaining and a place to rest. A stone-clad screen separates the settings, with a bar, lounge and desk in a connected interior. This is a private mixed-use reference, distinct from a commercial restaurant.

Through Interior Architecture & Design, AD’ develops the complete interior for the agreed spaces with your appointed architect and specialists. For a dining venue, explore the restaurant design appointment; for an office, the workplace route helps frame the discussion.

Department of Architecture: architecture and interiors

Department of Architecture is a Bangkok-based practice working across architecture, interior architecture and related disciplines. Studio. Its official portfolio identifies Le Du Restaurant in Bangkok, dated 2023.

The published photographs show a dining room organised around a dense, luminous field of small translucent elements overhead. Dark posts frame the tables and the bar beyond; the regular ceiling pattern gives the room a strong shared setting while the furniture remains comparatively quiet. This is a dining reference in which light and repetition shape the atmosphere across the room. The images show the interior; design, site and implementation responsibilities for a new venue remain to be established in its appointment.

PIA Interior: hospitality and workplace references

PIA Interior’s studio page describes experience in hospitality, residential, corporate and other interiors. Studio. Its homepage lists Thien Duong Restaurant at Baan Dusit Thani and Chia Tai Headquarters in Bangkok. Selected work.

The Chia Tai Company Limited case is listed under Corporate & Finance. In the published reception photograph, a pale veined counter is lit at its base. Vertical panels and a patterned screen organise the space behind it, while a separate display area holds sculptural objects beside the glazing. The image gives a concrete corporate-arrival reference, with reception, display and circulation considered together.

It is a different setting from the dining references above. For a workplace commission, distinguish the proposed interior documentation and specialist coordination from the furniture and construction contracts.

Compare the interior and the team arrangement

A restaurant reference and an office reference answer different questions. Discuss the studio’s role on each project before using it to assess your own brief.

Read the activities that share the room

The same open room can support different forms of occupation. At a dining venue, someone at a counter experiences the room differently from guests in a booth or a private dining setting. In a private loft, a desk, lounge and bar may need to feel connected without giving every activity equal prominence.

The two AD references make that distinction visible. KOI is a commercial restaurant with different seating settings; AD’s contribution was owner-side design direction alongside the appointed design team. Sathorn Lounge & Office is a private mixed-use loft, where a stone-clad screen separates settings for work, entertaining and rest within a connected interior. Its desk and bar do not make it evidence of a commercial office or restaurant appointment.

Use this distinction when reading the other references. The room-wide atmosphere and the setting around a particular activity are two scales of design. Look at how a dining room holds a shared character, or how reception, display and circulation coexist at a workplace. Then identify the equivalent relationship your property needs.

A restaurant brief also needs the operational team’s input; a workplace needs the people and activities it accommodates; a home begins with its occupants. The Thailand project route provides a way to discuss the AD’ role around the actual space. The published examples inform that conversation without replacing the specific brief.

Share the space, the stage reached and the team already appointed. AD’ can discuss the complete interior design work for your home or business.
