Interior design for your home in Palermo
Interior design for your house or villa, with layouts, materials and furniture developed with you wherever you live.
Discuss your Palermo homeAD’ Design Studio develops the rooms, materials, lighting and furniture of a home as one design. For a property in Palermo, the starting point is how you will use it: as your main residence, a home for longer stays, or a place to bring family and guests together.
Residential work behind the approach
At KOI Villa in Phuket, Thailand, AD’ developed residential interiors in which living, dining and bedroom spaces connect with terraces, the pool and the landscape. Materials and furniture give the rooms an intimate scale within the villa.
For Villa Viterbo Interiors in Viterbo, Italy, the design brings living, dining and kitchen spaces together around the fireplace and stair. Pale surfaces, dark stone and timber establish the material relationships; kitchen cabinetry follows the architecture.
Rooms that work with the outside
When a terrace or outdoor dining area forms part of the brief, its relationship with the interior belongs in the layout from the start. The position of a dining table, access through a living room and the furniture beside an opening affect how both spaces work.
We develop these relationships alongside the kitchen, bathrooms and storage. Materials, lighting and bespoke elements follow the room planning, so you can assess the whole home before approving individual finishes.
Make the important decisions visible
A drawing should give you enough information to make a decision. At the layout stage, that means reviewing room use, furniture positions, access and dimensions. Changes can then be resolved before the detailed design develops around them.
For finishes, the review needs to show where a material will be used and how it meets adjoining surfaces. We agree how samples and proposed selections will be reviewed, including who can inspect them when you are away. Lighting and furniture decisions are considered against the approved layout, with drawings and specifications developed for the agreed scope.
AD’ provides Interior Architecture & Design, working with your appointed architect and specialists on the technical information relevant to the interior.
Know who supplies, reviews and approves
You may make the decisions yourself or involve a representative. Before the appointment, we agree who supplies checked measurements and site information, who reviews technical requirements with AD’, and who approves the design.
Your locally appointed architect and specialists retain their agreed responsibilities for property permissions and local works. AD’ leads the interior design within its appointment. Site visits and sourcing visits are defined according to the property and the work required.
Before we begin
Questions about your Palermo property
Can I appoint AD’ while living outside Italy?
Yes. The appointment can be organised around design reviews and approvals. We establish who can provide reliable site information and attend to local matters, so the decisions you make from elsewhere relate to the actual property.
Can you work with my architect or local team?
Yes. AD’ can develop the interiors alongside your appointed architect and specialists. We agree the drawings, information and responsibilities each team needs, including where a technical review or client approval is required.
Can the work include furniture and bespoke pieces?
Yes. Furniture and bespoke details can form part of the interior design. If you also need a defined purchasing package, we can discuss Furnishing & Procurement and agree its responsibilities separately.
What should I tell you about the property?
Tell us where it is, how you intend to use it, its current stage and who is already involved. Existing plans and your priorities help establish the first discussion and the scope of an appointment.
